 The  course  gives  an  introduction  to  terrestrial  and  aquatic biodiversity,  conservation  biology,  and  the  common  methods  to conserve the environment and its biological diversity.

 The central aspects of biodiversity that will be discussed are; biodiversity through history, the value of biodiversity, human effects on biodiversity, and examples of conservation biology.
