This course aims to enable students to understand the various principles of Strategic Management. It provide students with the key strategic concepts that the organizations need to push their businesses forward and improves Organization competitive position while facing uncertainty and global competition and to develop the skills to drive critical business decisions and craft successful strategy. Students will learn the fundamental principles of Strategic management including: introduction to Strategic Management, Corporate Governance, Social Responsibility and Ethics, Scanning the Environment, Strategy Formulation, Strategy Implementation, Evaluation and Control.

Course objectives:

1. A clear understanding of the key concepts and principles of environmental scanning, strategy formulation, strategy implementation, evaluation & control,.

2. Recognize a set of useful analytical skills, tools and techniques for analyzing a company strategically.

3. The ability to take a general management perspective in analyzing a particular company.

4. Understand the strategic decisions that organizations make and have an ability to engage in strategic planning.

5. Integrate and apply knowledge gained in basic courses to the formulation and implementation of strategy from holistic and multi-functional perspectives.

6. Analyze and evaluate critically real life company situations and develop creative solutions, using a strategic management perspective.
