The course, provides opportunities to deliver and/or supervise care in healthcare settings. Aspects of community/public health and leadership are integrated in this clinical course. Students are expected to translate theory into practice and apply competencies related to assessment, monitoring, diagnoses and evaluation of the health status using the Community as Partner (CasP) model to individuals, families, aggregates, and communities. Students will conduct community assessment, and apply health education principles at different community settings through visits and practice in a variety primary of health care center's/institutions (MCH services and NCD), protection agencies, special institutions for vulnerable groups. Students will focus on implementation and evaluation phases of the nursing process. Emphasis is placed on developing the role of the clinical nurse specialist in community-oriented, population-focused practice utilizing best practice models and evidence.

Purpose: the purpose of this course is to strengthen capabilities and enhance competencies of students to become advance community/public health specialists.
