This course is designed to provide students with fundamentals of plant physiology. The topics that will be covered including transportation of solutes, photosynthesis, metabolism of organic and inorganic nutrients, plant growth regulation and growth factors, as well as the environmental impact on plant physiology. Physiology of mycorrhiza and nitrogen fixing nodules as well as phytohormones and defense mechanisms in plants will also be addressed. |
